Many glaciers have some portion that stays even through the driest and hottest period of summer. Mount Everest is never missing snow at the top, and Mount Rainier always has snow too but that might be changing. This is a real concern because most water in Washington during the summer comes from the glaciers melting. If they start to run out, the lack of rain will also be a lack of rivers.

I like Ash Season because then it sounds like we're on Vvardenfell. But there hasn't been that much ash on the ground for a while it's more distant smoke.
