Not being knowledgeable on a subject means that if you don't temper your statements as being inquisitive, you will be effectively being unnecessarily assholeish while saying anything.
That is to say "I am not knowledgeable" means maybe you shouldn't talk out your ass.

This is almost certainly the answer. A family member or close friend or neighbor turned them in and they are protecting the tipper and their anonymity with this.

These are great sources here and cool to read, thanks for sharing.
However, this comment only makes sense because the headline isn't specific enough. With regards to what most folks think of when we say "animals" (other than farm animals), the studies you linked aren't really reflective of that.
We are talking "mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians" here and the original article (linked at the beginning of OP's article) also specifies the losses by region which is also exceptionally important

I'm guessing you are using the colloquial meaning of "textbook" here but I'm just going to say it - I'm not sure what textbooks you have had but as someone with a Math degree, the textbook stuff is..... really rudimentary.
OP on the other hand - I wish this was a good example of data presentation from textbooks.
If your textbooks looked like OP, more power to you!

The person they are replying to edited the word "every" to instead say "many" thus making the previous person's response look really inflammatory
