Mostly kids who haven't been around for most of the console controller changes over time, they don't know they're born and think they've invented gaming. Bless em, they don't know no better

Ps 2 changed the PS1 contollers with sizing, addition of joy sticks and dual shock, then arguably the next change was PS4 adding the touch pad button and gyro. Ps5 is the biggest shift, and it's the comfort king for controllers right now. Xbox controllers have been damn solid since xbone, but you're forgetting how bad the very first Xbox controller was. That thing gave you arthritis if you played more than an hour, MS'll be lucky if we don't class action them! 😁

I've moved been both, and I've been very happy with the ps5, staying off Xbox this round. Game pass is great and all but I have kids, so I want quality gaming time, not volume. Your summary is fair, so many people get weirdly tribal about it.

While I prefer ps5 (controller, graphics, quality of exclusives, and I love the psvr2), I have to say that it only allows quick resume on the most recently played game - Xbox quick resume on multiple games is a great feature.

You do you! There's no point in childish tribalism about platforms, you've decided it's not what you need and that's that. I'm still using mine, since I have less time to game these days I'm still working through HFW with a few games queued behind, and now a few good psvr2 titles too. But I've owned pc, Xbox, switch, and it's all down to what suits your needs.

Lot of people crapping on the OP for having poor internet service with no idea where they live. Maybe don't assume that the same standards at your house are global then, or that they're choosing poor service. They could be in Alaska, a developing country, or somewhere far from any urban hub.
