I recommend Harbor East, depending on when your stay is you should be able to get one of the following for $200-$250:

Marriott Waterfront

Hilton Garden Inn Harbor East

Tru by Hilton Little Italy/Harbor East

The Marriott is my fav, excellent views and room quality after a recent renovation, and you can walk out the front door and you’re on the harbor promenade.

I was pleasantly surprised with Tru and the close to distance to some of the best Italian food in the city.

Thames St Oyster House for approachable upscale (my personal favorite)

Nicks Fish House for easygoing fun vibes

Charleston for the most refined restaurant experience in Baltimore

Loch Bar or Bygone for very overpriced but very extravagant raw bar experiences

I see folks catch and keep at the fishing pier at Canton Waterfront Park. One guy told me you don’t even need a fishing license. Sat for about a 2-3 hour boozy picnic in the park and saw some decent sized striped bass coming out and going into buckets.

I don’t know the legality of any of this. This is just an observation.

I will echo making the walk over to Thames Street Oyster House. It’s absolutely phenomenal.

Please don’t be tempted by the great location that Phillips has. The food and service is just embarrassing. Although props to their chef who jumped in the harbor and saved someone from drowning today, that’s cool man.

If you can broaden your search and take a 10-15 minute Uber I would also look at Nicks Fish House right on the water. It’s a great place to be in the summer, drinking an orange crush and listening to the live music. I love their mini crab balls and they have the best crab dip in town.

Nicks and Thames are my 2 favorite places to take people who don’t get to eat seafood a lot,

I’m vv interested to know the answer to this.

You sure it’s not Thames? That’s the only spot I can think of near broadway with a raw bar. Other than choptank but that’s not divey at all

I have friends in 1405, Crescent, and Union Wharf.

1405 is absolutely awful right now, there’s very big loud construction sites on both sides of the building. I thought the units were small and the amenities were meh.

Union Wharf has the nicest amenities, sort of small units here too. I like hanging out in the common areas when I visit my buddy here. I think you can pay a premium and get a nice harbor view here as well.

Crescent is an older building, not great amenities either, but the size of the units and the harbor views from some of the units are some of the coolest places I’ve seen in Baltimore.

Where is the Eden? I haven’t heard of that one.

Edit: Also wanted to add that the staff at Crescent is super nice too. 1405 and Union were a lil snooty.

I agree with the general sentiment here— with some caveats.

I support tax breaks for churches if they provide a demonstrable positive impact in the community.

The issue is that is some churches/congregations do not do this.

Edit: I do not agree that churches should be a primary source of mental health care.

Thank you sir.

I mostly agree with your rankings, however I will independent verify in an attempt to recreate the absolute science here.

Very interested in the Pig & Rooster!

I think I post on every one of these updates but if anyone in the comments hasn’t had iBar’s wings, you really need to go.

Also Don’t Know taverns wings are almost as good and are $6 on Wednesdays + all drafts are $5.

I eat a lot of wings.

I get off work at 4:30pm on Wednesdays so I’ve had luck being there right at 5pm on Wednesdays multiple times and been seated without waiting. Usually just a party of 2 but twice with a party of 4.

Also you get happy hour before 7pm M-Th, $4 off margs and queso.

Dang now I want ceviche and margs. Their cilantro marg is delicious if you haven’t tried it.
