Kinder is sometimes used as a term for vampires, as they all (or nearly all) can directly trace their bloodlines back to where the mutation/curse began.

Salt your doorways and arm yourself with some sort of short staff. It has to be made from solid wood and polished with linseed oil.

I would give you the instructions for the moon ritual but it's too late for that.

Last thing I can recommend is a dog collar that's been soaked in holy water and cedar oil and wear it any time you are home. Just because it found you doesn't mean you have to be it's next victim.
