With a Pennsylvania license, points depend on the section of vehicle code you were charged with. In speeding violations, points are "sliding". Virginia law may or may not consider an out of state violation for points. For sure don't ignore the ticket, as the two states are reciprocal in suspending no pays. I've received tickets in other states and paid them to no effect on my Pennsylvania driving record. If you don't get ticketed regularly, it's not worth worrying about, just plead guilty and pay it.

In the area I hunt, this has definitely not been the case. Opening day has fewer hunters than ever.TBF, this is ANF, where most hunt out of camps. Perhaps people can't get there in time without a weekend to pack and travel after Thanksgiving?

According to the article, the extra days would remain? At any rate, the purpose of this change would have been better served by leaving Monday as opening day and having a full two week season, as now proposed.

Reply to Car Inspection Sticker Expiration Changed? Month ahead of what it was before? by puzzlesarecool
One of several reasons they're permitted to give up to 15 months. It may be problematic for the station if they do it regularly, but you will be fine as a customer.

Seems in this case OP bought a car from a county with no emissions requirement, but has a valid safety sticker. Upon registering in his name, the safety sticker is still valid, but he's registered in a county also requiring an emissions inspection.

It's a complex law, but it's basically audio recordings of a surreptitious nature where one has a reasonable expectation of privacy. It's a wiretapping law and dates to the hard line phone tap days, thus quite archaic.
worstatit t1_j23l04q wrote
I'd wait until the next safety inspection, at which time it's required. If it bothers you, an emissions inspection station can do it at any time. I'm pretty sure they'll only give you a sticker valid until your current safety inspection expires, though.

The MDJ where the judgment was won should be able to get you started. Not sure if tenants are any more successful than landlords at actually collecting these. Imagine if you're willing to hassle you could eventually have a lien on the property.

If they do it, they'll cycle it around a couple hours at a time. Calculated to not cause weather related damage. Worst part, many won't know if it's a rolling blackout and likely to end soon, or a regular outage of unknown duration.

Perhaps. My experience with geothermal is peripheral with an older commercial system. The original bid called for an auxiliary heat boiler, the geothermal guy claimed it was unnecessary. It was left out, then installed at far greater cost later on after the geothermal continuously burned up pumps and blew breakers every winter. I believe the cold weather units you refer to carry conventional heaters.

Heat pumps lose much efficiency at 40 degrees, substantially so at 28 degrees. We're at 13 here, after hitting 1 degree for the last 24 hours. Throw in some high winds.

This is a result of electrification of residential heating systems (very inefficient at these temperatures), and green electricity sources unable to fulfill demand. Interesting to me, many industrial/business users will curtail usage this weekend anyway, would seem to offset heating demand? You could do like most people and use what you want until it goes out.

Millions of interactions and thousands of arrests every year, 98% of arrests requiring no use of force. Like all things racial, oversimplification is the enemy. Are there bad cops? Racist cops? Of course. Are all of them bad? Or racist? Definitely not. Like any system, policing and the courts can use improvement. To paint all police with a Derek Chauvin brush is not accurate.

Not familiar with this provider, but it's common to charge separately for "service" and actual amount used. You'll pay for infrastructure regardless of use, basically.

Usually hiking boots will suffice, but maybe 3-4 weeks over the winter you'll be glad for decent winter boots. Get decent Pac type boots and they'll last for years. Note they can be a pain to drive in.

So, they may or may not have been fully aware of the history. My guess is, some were, some weren't. Gotta believe they weren't aware of what a shitstorm this would cause, or the faction in the know was doing it on purpose to embarass the others. Though pro-police, I'm in agreement this particular guy shouldn't be working as such.

Jump through the stupid hoop and state you didn't drive it. This will be the simplest way to resolve. Pretty pitiful they first took the word of the insurance company there was a lapse, and now won't recognize their assertion there was no lapse. Also, pretty pitiful the insurance company sent notification within a single day. Wonder if they'd have backed you if there was a claim that day? Admire your attempt at honesty.

Reply to Winter driving in PA all seasons vs Snow tires. What do you have and why? by RemoteStatement
All season tires, but all vehicles are awd or 4wd. In a 2wd (front or rear) I'd run two sets of rims (4), one with all season, one with studded snows. Convinced that regular winter driving in the snow will make anyone a better driver, if you survive it. Don't envy your commute.
