  1. They're cheaper.
  2. You don't have to either spend a fortune or be knowledgeable about computers to build one yourself.
  3. I prefer using a controller, it's designed to fit in your hand nicely and give feedback with vibration.
  4. It's very simple, you just plug and play, no need to worry about updates and viruses, learning an OS.
  5. It connects to my TV which is a big screen, looks great, allows me to sit further away which I believe is better for my eyes and doesn't give me headaches.
  6. It also allows me to be comfortable on a couch or chair.
  7. It saves money and space in my place bc I can use my TV for streaming, movies and gaming all in one. I don't need a desk and monitor for games.
  8. A console is smaller and easier to transport.

Not all of these are big deals and some might be personal preference but these are all reasons I've never been interested in PC gaming before.

How long do you plan on keeping it and how much do you game? I think the Series X is worth it because I keep my consoles for 5-10 years or longer and don't want to just buy the updated version later on. $250 more seems like a lot but in a few years when the Series S is starting to show its weakness and limitations with new games I think I'll be glad I bought the X. If you're just casual and play indie stuff and don't care about graphics, performance, load times, then who cares!

Personally I would get the Series X if you can swing it. I think it's worth it if you take good care of your consoles and keep them for years. I know my Series X will last but I don't believe the S is future proof based on the significantly weaker internals. As games progress and developers take advantage of the new systems I think the S will start to be a hindrance years down the road.

The games that you named are almost all single player, and they are last gen and will be awesome on either console. But yeah find out if the games you want to play are cross platform or not so you can play with your friend. Don't let other people push you or convince you so easily.

If you want to just play your PC yes, I'm not sure why you bought it to begin with. But selling Series X for a loss before some of the biggest games of the generation is also a baffling move.

I'm a grown ass adult do you think my feelings get hurt if someone says the PS5 is better? Hahahaha get outta here man, I own a PS4 and I love it. I'm trying to help this person make the right decision for them.

Lol okay PS fanboy let's give both sides of the story. Controller sure PS5 is more next gen but I find the Xbox to be more comfortable and the sticks better.

Exclusives yes PS is winning big time. But I'm more excited about the games coming from all the studios Microsoft bought like Starfield and Redfall, and if the Activision deal goes through things will really start turning before this generations over.

The Xbox comes with more storage out of the box. I personally will never need more storage, unless you're a gamer who keeps a lot of games saved. But sure expandable storage is more expensive for Xbox.

PS online is not cheaper, it's literally the same price as Xbox live or Game Pass. PS has quantity over quality. Sure there's more games but there's a TON of junk, crappy games you don't want anyways on there. Xbox gets more day 1 access and AAA's which is the real money saver.

Larger player base? Who cares, most games are cross platform and that's never once mattered to me.

The reality is both consoles this generation are impressive and fun to play so let's cut the childish console war debate.

Look at game pass. Do you want to play those games, or do you want PS exclusives? Easy as that.

If he has to pay $10 a month for gold to play online anyways then we are talking another $60 a year to have access to a TON of other good titles for the new xbox That's so worth it and barely anything.

It you have the money why not both, the Series S has good sales and it wouldn't be a big deal. Personally I'd get the X bc I think the S is a bad investment long term. That console is gonna be weak and limited in a few years when they start really making big games for this gen.

I mean to be fair the Xbox one was just a bad generation from Microsoft. Same way how PS3 wasn't so hot compared to the 360 in my opinion. The S is a budget console so yeah it clearly isn't meant to be future proof or last. My Series X though I absolutely expect to keep for a long time. My 360 lasted forever, PS4 is still going strong, and this gen hasn't even started until games start coming out that are exclusively next gen.

So far the Xbox is proving to be just as good as the PS5 if not better. Performance, cooling, storage, all that and it's already been a couple years to prove it.

As far as I know yeah. It's just like making an account for anything else nowadays. You make a username, put in some basic stuff like name age DOB, they'll want a credit card for buying games and subscriptions, the usual. Setting up my new Xbox I just plugged it in, put in the wifi, connected the controller, logged in to my account, it did a quick update, download games, done.

If you really want one over the other that's fine, they're both great. The real thing you should evaluate is which console has the games you want to play. Performance, UI, storage, all that is pretty negligible in my book. Controller if that's a big deal to you.

I'm gonna be honest I have no idea what you're talking about and neither do you lol. If you don't already have an account you make one. That's it. If you do, you log in. I'm an Xbox guy now but I also have a PS4 and a PS2 so I'm not a fan boy. I can think of several real reasons why you might choose a PS5 over an Xbox but I'm not sure what they mean by Xbox hates us or what you're referring to.

It sounds like you made up your mind already but don't have any reasons or idea why lol.

The PS tiers are confusing as hell and most people have no idea what they mean lol. I don't. I'm glad you got PS plus on sale but it's the same price as Xbox. So what happens next year if you have to pay full price? I love a deal as much as anyone but are you always gonna get this mad about $30 lol when new games cost $70 but you don't want game pass. If you're a PC guy you're on the wrong sub, of course a computer is going to have more options and choices, with a console you're buying into a system.

You can buy Gold on Amazon right now. $35 for 6 months $60 for a year. PS plus is on sale for $30 ending today, then it's literally the same price as Xbox gold tomorrow. They normally cost the same amount and let's be real is a temporary sale of $30 over a year that huge a deal lol? You're mad and don't even have your facts straight.
