Agreed. There's also a very distinct Delco accent, an accent for the sort of Chambersburg to Altoona stretch, one for Lancaster/dutch country, one for Pittsburgh, one for Philly, and then sort of an "all the rest" accent.

I always wondered about the accents. I would say we have about 6 classes of accents, and some variation within them, but I always wonder if I only notice because I'm here and familiar with it. If I lived in Oklahoma would I be more in tune with their differences?

So there's a local businessman who buys restaurants and closes them with promises of remodeling and bringing them back in a grand fashion. And then they just stay closed. Currently he owns the Tavern, the Deer Lodge, and the Holly Inn. I really think he's slightly fucked up in the head. Like he is super successful in his main business and I really think he believes he's going to improve these places but then just doesn't really get around to it? Idk but I'd say he is single handedly driving down property values in Mount Holly and Boiling Springs by shuttering their most iconic restaurants.

Boiling Springs! Once they fix the lake. And if that asshole ever opens the tavern back up.

Went there for the first time today. Well, the first time off 15/522. Came home and told my wife it's a really cool spot and that if we are going for a drive some day we should head up. Also I'm launching a store in my town that fits in towns about the size of Selinsgrove and am keeping my eyes out for "next" locations. I added it to my list.

Yeah I'm in Dillsburg on Old York Rd (the 74 bypass if you go straight through Rossville from your house) and for some reason when I read York County I expected this to be in one of the weird brethren areas like 7 Valleys or Delta

Not sure which development but yes very close to you. Around 2000 Loman Drive which looks to be part of an older development

It's about a mile off Rt. 74 in Shiloh. If you go behind the building of the beer distributor (Brewskees of Shiloh) about a mile it's there.

I haven't looked into it much either. Most cities who have tried it are in PA though including Mayor Reed in Harrisburg.

Yes, I am in charge of hiring for a mid-size business. I have a mix of college educated and non-college educated people in my highest paying jobs. I have no hesitation to hire someone without a college education, but every person working for me who has a college education looks at the big picture of the company in a way non-college educated people don't look at it. The only exception when I look at the 15 or so higher paid people is a man who managed two large retail stores. He didn't own the business but was responsible for the stores' success. Management experience and college education always raise resumes to the top of my pile.

Not knowing what you mean by that I can't really comment. On a personal level I never had an issue with her beyond normal petty high school stuff. I don't really know her well enough in adulthood to say anything, but her husband is a decent guy and she seems to be fairly levelheaded on the board.
