Reply to K-pop for people that hate the genre? by BennyMcShween
134340 by BTS. Also, try Xdinary Heroes for some light rock (they actually play instruments). Stray Kids has some good songs that are not your typical "happy dance," like Lonely St. or Red Lights. Red Velvet uses some classical music samples and interesting vocal arrangements in songs like Psycho or Feel My Rhythm.
Despite popular belief, you can find tons of songs with really high levels of sound production, from the samples to the genres they combine and experiment with to the weird tempo/key changes.
PS: if you want a cool rock cover of Britney Spears, look for Royal Pirates' take on Circus.
All that being said, if you don't enjoy the genre it's gonna be tough. Like finding good reggae songs for those who love tango.
