There is one tomorrow 5:30-6:30 at city hall, a candlelight vigil's happening. Who's organizing the Kelly Square one?

Ah yes, another article ignoring the fact (and part of the release that mentions) that the left field building being delayed means the taxes won't be getting paid from it towards the debt.

yep, it's a permanent ban on that street
Most streets here don't need parking permits, I'd look and see if any neighboring streets have it. If you do need one, the place to go is here: https://www.worcesterma.gov/parking/residential-parking-program

Yes, we have on-demand hot water heaters, not sure if that makes a difference. We don't have a septic tank we're on city sewer, so our bill is technically for trash/water/sewer.

Not sure how long you've been there or if it was vacant before you, but the October numbers' jump significantly, I'd check for leaks. I have a 3 family (8 people) and we're usually around 600-800/quarter.

Gezzus folks...it was a joke... Y'all are making a mountain out of a molehill... I don't give a rats ass what anyone plays, if they find Catan fun they find it fun, I'm confused but I get confused as to how folks still find monopoly and plenty of other badly designed games fun. Catan's just the butt end of jokes for most of the boardgaming world

I have a collection of 200+ board games, why would I buy or play one I don't enjoy?

There's a crapton of games more fun and better designed than Catan...why would I bother playing a game I don't enjoy?
Besides the point, that part of my comment was a joke, it was a dig at something most folks in the board game space would have laughed at with me.

Bricks-for-sheep isn't a great game, there's a lot of better designed ones out there...I've got a collection of over 200 games, Catan is annoying and boring compared to most of them. It's also become the butt of a lot of jokes in the board game world...hence my comment being a dig at it. Had this been a post from That's E there would have been a bunch of similar comments, but Catan wouldn't ever get mentioned by that's E folks because they know their audience.

Catan's not a great game...and it's become the butt of a lot of jokes on the board game world...why the heck did this get so heavily down voted?

Reply to comment by Karen1968a in Good job Worcester! We passed the CPA! by legalpretzel
I'm a owner-occupied landlord of a 3family, my CPA cost is about $83/year. I will not be raising rent for that little. That works out to less than $3.50/month. That's less than I pay in transaction fees for my tenants rent ach transfers.
I'm also a member of Mass Landlords, and most of the folks I've chatted with do not have plans to increase from this passing.

Reply to Should I buy cars from these two places? by [deleted]
I'm not familiar with any particular places for used cars here, but going based on prices from pre-pandemic, hell pre 2021, is pointless and a waste of your time. Used car prices have skyrocketed due to shortages, and with Hurricane Ian, there's even more of a shortage. Your best bet is calling up places or looking them up online to see what they have right now rather than driving around hoping for a cheap clunker.

If you want to turn this into a business w/ insurance/pet cpr & first aid certification, etc. Happy to chat about it anytime. I had my own business for 6 years till the pandemic hit, and we have a Pet Care Professionals of Massachusetts group on Facebook for networking and referral sharing.
