I live in that building and saw this, it's crazy how much common manners people lack.

Reply to Lets talk local Kimchi! by Blecher_onthe_Hudson
Being married to a Korean, our fridge always has kimchi. Both traditional cabbage but our favorite is scallion. We sometimes have more exotic ones depending on availability and seasonality.
Ideally, she brings back kimchi from Korea whenever she goes. Second best is she does delivery from Korea (expensive) or LA (semi expensive). There is a lady that also delivers homemade from Fort Lee. Or our last resort, we just get bags of Jongga Kimchi from Hmart in ktown.
If you have a car, you can always visit the Hmart nearby Edgewater, they have a whole section of fancy kimchi as well.

Sure, which is why I had a note that it's applicable to Vantage 1 only. Vantage 1 is about 5 years old... the rent for Vantage 1 was commanding prices comparable to brand new buildings in the area.

I've lived in both, Vantage for ~4 years, and Haus25 for a few months.
Vantage Pros:
- Community is better
- Quieter/family-oriented area
- Good maintenance (fast, and efficient)
- Generally good management
Vantage Cons:
- Overpriced for an older building (probably negotiable if you're signing upfront) -- applicable to Vantage 1 only
- Many amenities are getting pretty... worn.
- Elevators are almost always down
- Took forever to respond to lantern bug infestation
- Garage car break-ins are a common theme
---
Haus25 Pros:
- Newer building, newer amenities
- Great location (closer to PATH and restaurants)
- More amenities (gym is actually useable, common workspaces are more functional and open, lots of space)
- Very clean (always people cleaning every morning)
- Maintenance and management are great
Haus25 Cons:
- Community is lackluster/non-diverse, reminds me of newport
- Extremely pricey (2nd highest in DTJC)
- Most amenities are rented out all the time (the # of residences is more than vantage)

If you're willing to shell out the $$$, I'd say Haus25 is a better building. It's managed by Veris whom also manages Vyv building. My experience so far here has been pretty good. Happy to answer any additional questions.
